Variation on the Star Craft Book

Here is a variation on the star craft book that I really like. It's a bit bigger and it also has this added section of reinforcing cardstock in the middle that gives it even more dimension. Use the same directions for the regular star book, except use these dimensions for cutting.

2 pieces of 8-1/2 x 11" chipboard
7 pieces of 5-1/2 x 11" cardstock
7 pieces of 5-1/2 x 8" cardstock
7 pieces of 5-1/2 x 7" cardstock
14 pieces of 5-1/2 x 2" cardstock

The instructions for the extra step to create the very inside reinforced pieces are as follows:

Fold the 5-1/2 x 2" pices in half hot dog style. Apply liquid glue just to the folded edge and adhere the two together.

Repeat until all 14 are glued into pairs so that you end up with 7 sets of reinforcers. You would then use the liquid glue in the same manner, just on the top folded edge and then place on the inside fold of your largest pieces of cardstock (the 5-1/2 x 11" pieces).

After this you would continue with the instructions as given in the star book. Try it with a contrasting color to really make it stand out. Stunning!
