The one piece of cardstock mini scrapbook is an excellent mini album for
the beginning scrapbooker. Quick and easy is the name of the game with
this little book! All you need is one piece of double sided cardstock
and whatever embellishments you choose to use on your book. It is rather a classic go-to book in the world of book making.
Fold a 12 x 12 piece of scrapbooking cardstock in half as shown.
Fold each side up 1/2 inch as shown below.
Fold the whole thing in half as shown below.
Fold the bottom up to the center as shown below.
Flip over and fold the bottom up to the top so that it looks like this.
Open the whole sheet up again and using scissors cut up through three of the fold lines as shown below.
Fold back up into a scrapbook. Use double sided tape to adhere the center flaps together. Also use double sided tape along the outside edge of each end of your mini scrapbook. Repeat for the inside edges as well.
This is what it looks like at this point. It is now ready to be embelllished and to have tags added to it.
Create tags to fill your pockets. I used my
Making Memories Slice
to create my tags, as well as the word "love" on the front cover. You can use any tag templates or ready made tags or any machine to cut tags that you have that will fit this book. I think adding the ribbon to the tops of the tags is fun and makes the whole book much more festive.
Our church is doing a 40 Days of Love study and I am sending 40 things to my sponsored child in the Dominican Republic. I am sending her one thing a day for 40 days. This is one of the things that she will be getting. I wrote out some of the things that describe love in I Corinthians 13.
