Flip Album

I've been wanting to make a flip album mini scrapbook for awhile. I've been seeing these mini scrapbooks all over the scrapbooking sphere of the internet. They're just so cute and they're not that difficult at all.

Materials Needed:
3 pieces of 12 x 12 solid cardstock (2 in contrasting colors)
3 pieces of coordinating 12 x 12 patterned scrapbook paper
Ribbon
Double-sided tape

Cut solid scrapbooking cardstock as follows:
1 piece measuring 6 x 12
3 pieces measuring 5-3/4 x 12
Cut contrasting solid cardstock to four pieces 5-1/2" square

Score piece of 6" x 12" at 2-3/4" and 3" on one end. Flip it over and score it on the other end at 2-3/4" and 3" also. This is your cover.

Score the (3) 5-3/4" x 12" sheets at 3" on each end.

Place double-sided tape on both of the 3" ends of one of the 5-3/4" x 12" pieces of cardstock.

Adhere the other two pieces of 5-3/4" x 12" pieces of cardstock to the one with the double-sided tape so that it looks like this.

Fold flaps in. This is the inside of your mini album.
Take your 6" x 12" cover and put double-sided tape just inside the middle score lines.

Place the inside of your mini scrapbook onto this double-sided tape.

Attach one of the 5-1/2" squares to the inside first flap, which will create your cover.

Adhere a piece of ribbon as shown using regular tape.

Run double-sided tape down both sides and attach another piece of 5-1/2" square cardstock on top. This is now your completed cover.

Attach another 5-1/2" square to the back flap to create the back flap of the scrapbook.

Attach ribbon as shown.

Adhere the final 5-1/2" square over ribbon.

Cut patterned scrapbooking papers as follows:
6 @ 5-1/2" Square
8 @ 5-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Adhere these to all the inside pages.

Embellish as desired. Don't these mini albums make scrapbooking more fun than ever?
