This coffee filter book was the very first mini scrapbook I ever
saw. This very mini album that you see here. It was many years ago
now. I was in a homeschool co-op and there were quite a few creative
types within this group. My friend,
Francine
had brought this scrapbook to show a few of us who were interested and I
was hugely intrigued. My fascination with mini albums just grew from
there.
So this is a very simple album to create. You need
some cone-shaped coffee filters, scrapbook papers, 2 small binding
rings, a bit of ribbon and some adhesive. That is it!
Lay a coffee filter on the backside of the scrapbook paper you want to use and trace around it.

You will need 2 pieces to cover each coffee filter as you will be
covering both sides. Francine used 6 coffee filters in her book with 3
different coordinating scrapbook papers. Cut out all your pieces and
adhere with your favorite adhesive. I recently discovered the
ATG gun
and I don't know I ever lived without it. You can also use double sided tape or even a glue stick though.
Punch 2 holes in each coffee filter for the binding rings.

Each coffee filter has a pocket which is the perfect place for tags! Francine made hers in coordinating papers.

Add ribbons to tags and the binding rings. Embellish each tag and page, as well as the front and it is done! Easy peasy!
Optional:
Francine also inked around the edges of each coffee filter once the
scrapbook paper was adhered. I think this adds a very nice,
professional look to the whole project.
These little scrapbooks make great gifts and you can even do them in themes such as baby scrapbook, cookbooking, birthday party, Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentine's Day, et cetera.
