If you want to know more about making mini scrapbooks, this is the page that explains who I am and how I came to create this website.
My name is Debi Devitt and my husband, Dave, and I are empty nesters living in rural northern California. We recently became first-time grandparents and our grandson Samuel is our hearts. (New scrapbooking material!)
I started scrapbooking in 2003 when both my daughters were in junior high. Boy did I have a lot of backlog to get caught up with! I am still working on that actually. We were a homeschool family at the time and at one of our co-ops a couple of the moms were showing me some of the little mini albums they had created. One was made out of coffee filters and you can see that original album on our coffee filter scrapbook page. I was enchanted! And hooked!
I started creating mini albums and couldn't get enough. Okay, maybe it was a slight addiction!
I finally started this website to share these ideas with others.
There has been a huge explosion in mini scrapbook tutorials since I
first started this website. When I started it, there were not that many tutorials or websites about making mini albums. But, wow, people are so talented! I am so amazed and
feel so humbled when I see the mini books that others create! It is awesome that there is so much inspiration out there.
I hope that you will find the tutorials within this website helpful and easy to use. That is the goal! I know some people prefer written instructions with step-by-step instructions, so that is what I have tried to do on this website. And I have had a lot of help from others in writing some of the best tutorials on the website. Thank you, Jaine Drake, Lori Delp and several others.
Over the years I have added resources for mini albums as well, such as printable collage sheets, printable mini albums, vintage images, theme ideas, scrapbooking business ideas, as well as some bookbinding techniques.
A few years ago I took some classes from the oh-so-brilliant Maryann Moss and started making altered books and journals. You can find some of my creations in my Etsy shop - link on the right hand column on most of the pages here.
I am always interested in collaborating with others and including your tutorials on my website, with a link to your website or blog. I do pay a small fee for tutorials that I publish on the website, so please do not hesitate to contact me.
