This ATC book is perfect for storing your little artist trading cards. Many papercrafters enjoy creating beautiful ATC cards. This is a great way to store them.
The first thing you will need to do is to print out the template for this book. You can get that template here.
Trace it onto the cardstock you would like to use for your cover. Score on the dotted lines as shown above. The larger area will be your spine and the other area is where your cover folds over the book.
The inside pages are 8-1/2 inches by 11 inches. For each of these pages, fold in half and then fold each side into the center so that you have four sections.
Fold each side in just about 5/8 of an inch. It doesn't have to be exact, but make sure it is pretty even on each side.
Fold each of the four corners in to the fold line as shown above.
Now fold both sides in as shown in this photo.
Turn your paper completely over. Now fold the top over as shown in the photo above.
Turn the page back over again. Fold the bottom up and tuck into the corners at the top as shown here. Continue to do this for each page in your book. I found that about three of these pages was a good number for this book. Each page holds four cards, so if your book has three pages it will hold 12 ATC cards.
Bind your pages into your book using the pamphlet stitch. This is a super simple way to do many different books and works great for this particular book. For the closure use either brads, as I did above, or make your own paper clasp. You could also look at our mini album closures page and try one of the many ideas listed there.
Embellish your cover in any way you wish. Flowers, rub-ons, stickers, scrapbook embellishments, etc.
An idea for these little mini albums is to create ATC cards with a certain theme and to create a little book for each theme. Or join a swap for ATC cards and make a separate book for each swap. Sometimes our Mini Books Yahoo group does swaps such as these, so you might consider joining!
